Popularly known as ‘Golden Man’ and ‘King of Disco’, Bappi Lahiri, who died at the age of 69, had composed several Telugu songs which made him one of the top songwriters from 1986 to 2020 in India.

Bappi Da was a musical director for up to 14 films, which include some good musical hits from their respective timelines. Hit songs like “Vaana Vaana Velluvaye”, “Aakasham Loo Oka Thaara”, are still among the legendary musician’s most beloved compositions.

‘Gang Leader’, ‘Rowdy Alludu’, ‘Nippu Ravva’, ‘State Rowdy’ and ‘Rowdy Inspector’ are some of the many films for which Bappi Lahiri composed the music.

Bappi Lahiri’s Telugu compositions mostly featured Megastar Chiranjeevi and most of the songs in their combinations were chart hits at that time.

Bappi who had given music for the films “State Rowdy”, “Gang Leader”, “Rowdy Alludu” and “Big Boss” with Chiranjeevi was musically struck. His other compositions for Mohan Babu and Venkatesh Daggubati were also super hits.

His last Telugu film was the 2020 film ‘Disco Raja’, an album originally composed by Thaman, but Bappi Lahiri was brought on board to sing the song ‘Rum Pum Bum’ with Sri Krishna and Ravi Teja, lyrics were written by Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry.
